What is Building Brighter Futures?
Building Brighter Futures is a three-year programme for 10-18 year olds with cystic fibrosis, funded by BBC Children in Need. The programme will include talks, Q&As and workshops to give you practical skills to manage your CF alongside other interests. We hope to cover a broad range of topics from mental health and isolation, to coding, blogging and vlogging. Hear from Digital Youth Outreach Officer Bahar Mustafa to find out a little bit more about her role in the Building Brighter Futures Programme.

My CF Story
Are you a young person with CF? Do you have a story to tell? Have you always wanted to start a podcast, or video diary, or make a zine that reaches out to other young people with CF?
Building Brighter Futures, sponsored by Children in Need, is offering an exciting opportunity for young people with CF to participate in a six-week online story-telling course with weekly workshops. We’ve teamed up with On Our Radar who will be delivering six digital workshops and supporting you through a journey of telling your story using a variety of multimedia. This is a unique opportunity to build on your skills, such as vlogging, blogging, illustration, zine-making, and so on, and engage in a collective story-telling experience with other young people with CF, in a safe way online.
Whether your story is about a day in the life of someone with CF, your school and education, work, or relationships: if you have a story, we want to help you tell it. At the end of the course you and your online course mates will have the opportunity to take over CF Trust’s social media and get your stories out to the world!
Starting Tuesday 23 July (weekly, every Tuesday for six weeks).
You can sign up below, or if want to find out more information, please email email@example.com
We will be recording some of our workshops and talks so that you can watch them later. Take a look at the recordings from our 'preparing for work' workshops below.
