Last year, Christmas sales and donations raised nearly £38,000, which was spent on improving the lives of people living with CF and their families across the UK. The money raised by people like you is helping to fund ground-breaking research into combatting dangerous bugs, support for adults and children with CF when they need it most and much more.

Our 4th annual Christmas card competition

Lily, aged nine, who won this year’s competition said:

"My sisters and I enjoy entering competitions and really loved doing the xmas card competition as my sister Betsy has cystic fibrosis. I chose a cow because our new house has cows in the field at the bottom of the garden!"

Christmas Catalogue mailing problems

Unfortunately, an error was made during the mailing of the Trust’s 2019 Christmas Catalogue, which was accidentally posted out to a number of people who had told us they didn’t want to receive mail from us.

We sincerely apologise for this mistake, and for failing to respect your wishes on this. We considered whether or not to write to everyone affected to apologise, but opted not to do so, in order to avoid intruding on your privacy any further.

Under data protection rules, the Trust is able to send ‘marketing communications’ by post to you if you have supported us recently. This could include sending information about our work, developments in CF, or fundraising opportunities, such as our Christmas Catalogue. We do not contact you by post if you tell us you don’t want to receive it, or if you are a member of the Mailing or Fundraising Preference Services.

We are following up over the issues which led to this error, and we are undertaking a full review of mailing processes to put in place a range of new measures to prevent this from happening again.
